We are proud to have participated in the conference Ageing Reimagined: Reshaping the Care of Older Adults, organised by the Geriatric Medicine Society of Malta.

Representing our team were Operations Manager Lara Grech, together with Facility Managers Annalise Attard and Antoine Borg.

The conference provided an opportunity to discuss and explore new ways of improving the care and wellbeing of older adults, while sharing experiences with professionals in the sector.

Through this conference, we were also able to explain to experts in the field how we have adopted advanced culinary techniques within our services. This innovation not only improves the visual appeal of meals and encourages a better appetite, but also brings back the enjoyment connected with dining, turning every meal into a moment of quality living.

CareMalta Group is proud to have supported the Symposium titled “Digital Health in Action: Moving from Vision to Action”, organised by the Faculty of ICT at the University of Malta.

This Symposium brought together policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, students, and industry leaders to discuss how digital health strategies can be transformed into practical and impactful solutions for healthcare systems.

This initiative forms part of CareMalta Group’s commitment towards strengthening collaboration in the areas of artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital health.

In fact, in November 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CareMalta Group and the Department of Computer Information Systems within the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the University of Malta, to collaborate on innovation in the future of healthcare.

This month, our COO, Mr Noel Borg, and our Senior Nursing Manager, Mrs Zvetlana Debono, attended the BetterCare COST Action meeting in Helsinki. The main goal was to discuss patient safety beyond hospital settings and into informal caregiving.

This meeting, funded by COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology and supported by LAB University of Applied Sciences, brings together countries and key stakeholders to agree on shared priorities. These include preventing caregiver errors, strengthening safer care transitions, and building practical support for both caregivers and care recipients.

The CareMalta Group representatives were also accompanied by Prof. Sandra Buttigieg, Head of the Department of Health Systems Management & Leadership at the University of Malta.

Together, we continue working towards safer and better care for all.
