We are proud to have had members from the CareMalta Group Management team part of the International Colloquium on Children's Voices organised by The Malta Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society in collaboration with the Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta.

The research paper: Children's Right to Participate: Perspectives from a Formal Residential Care Setting in Malta, was presented by CareMalta Group COO Noel Borg and CareMalta Group Operations Manager Dr Francesca Muscat who co-authered the paper together with CareMalta Group Operations Manager, Zvetlana Debono and HILA's Home Manager, Alicianne Scicluna.

Residents from our facilities, most of them living with dementia, joined this initiative thanks to BirdLife Malta.

The Minister for European Funds, Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, and James Sciriha, CEO of CareMalta Group, joined the event and shared meaningful moments with the residents and staff of CareMalta.

CareMalta Group hosted a joint preparatory meeting of the BETTERCARE COST Action working groups, as part of the ongoing University of Malta and CareMalta Group Memorandum of Understanding signed last year with the Department of Health Systems Management and Leadership.

The meeting brought together experts, researchers, and policymakers from across Europe to explore the future of the new care economy, including the Head of the Department of Health Systems Management and Leadership at the University of Malta, Professor Sandra C. Buttigieg, who co-organised and contributed to the joint preparatory meetings.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the CareMalta Group and the Department of Computer Information Systems within the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the University of Malta, marking a significant step towards deepening collaboration in the areas of artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital health.

CareMalta proudly inaugurated the Via Crucis at the St Joseph Chapel within Dar San Ġużepp, Għajnsielem.

The Via Crucis consists of 14 tabulexes created by Chev. Antonio Mifsud, a distinguished Maltese artist renowned for his sacred art.

To mark this special occasion, a Mass was celebrated by Mgr Anton Teuma, Bishop of Gozo.

The Chairperson of Vassallo Group, Natalie Briffa Farrugia, Shareholders of Vassallo Group together with the CEO of CareMalta Group James Sciriha and the Management of CareMalta Group were present for the inauguration.

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the spiritual and cultural environment within our facilities.

In this clip, Michael Zerafa, Maintenance Manager at CareMalta Group, explains how important medical documentation is when it comes to persons’ safety.

He highlights that good documentation helps ensure the continuity of care, allowing different professionals to provide the best and most effective support.

Michael also reminds us that documentation is not only about medical records — health and safety documentation is just as important, both for the service users and for the employees.

Yesterday, the Leader of the Nationalist Party, Alex Borg, together with his partner Sarah Bajada, visited Casa Arkati in Mosta, one of CareMalta’s facilities.

During their visit, they met with several residents and participated in a number of activities prepared for the occasion, sharing meaningful moments with the community.
