Do you keep drinking liters of water and still feel dry as a bone?"

If your skin is always thirsty, your joints feel "creaky," or your mind is feeling "frazzled"—especially here in Malta—I have some news. Chugging more fluids might not be the answer.

In most cases, the real problem isn't a lack of water; it’s a lack of healthy, grounding fats.

In Ayurveda, we look at the body's 'Rasa' (sap/life juice). When Rasa is low, it’s not just a physical feeling of thirst. This is degeneration in progress. You are drying out from within.

Look at that massive waterfall behind me. Water flows when there’s a proper path and proper hydration. But without grounding fats, that water simply cannot be held or absorbed by your body's tissues. You are literally just filtering it through.

Without enough healthy fats (like Ghee, Avocado, Coconut Oil, and nuts):

1️⃣ Your joints lose their lubrication (Vata imbalance).
2️⃣ Your brain tissue can't repair itself (memory & anxiety issues).
3️⃣ Your skin barrier cannot lock in moisture.

So, what’s the fix? Start focusing on "inside-out" lubrication.

✨ Include 1 tsp of Ghee with your meals.
✨ Opt for healthy, whole-food fats in every meal.
✨ Protect your skin from the Maltese wind & AC.

Your body is a masterpiece that needs understanding. Healing isn’t a quick fix—it’s finding the deep alignment your system is begging for.

Are you trying to "color on a dirty canvas"?

This quote by Caraka, one of the founding fathers of Ayurveda, is my guiding light when clients at RAY Healing ask for help with burnout, dull skin, or constant fatigue.

We often look at Rejuvenation (new energy, youthful appearance, mental clarity) as something we can simply add to our lives. But that’s like adding fresh engine oil without draining the old, sludgy oil first.

Rejuvenation is not possible in an uncleaned body.

When we try to bypass the cleaning phase (Panchakarma or simple daily detox rituals), the Rasayana (Rejuvenation) practices cannot be fully absorbed. They become another "to-do" that might even make us feel more heavy or sluggish.

Look at these two different types of "rest" (showing both photos). One is an artistic, outdoor reset; the other is a calm, indoor grounding. BOTH are necessary, but NEITHER can fully restore you if your internal biology is carrying the weight of stress and accumulated toxins.

True Ayurvedic cleansing (like tongue scraping, "right" eating, and regular Abhyanga) creates the clear space necessary for that deeper vitality to flourish.

Many of my clients at RAY Healing think they need an elaborate 2-hour morning routine to feel balanced. They are looking for a complex answer to combat stress.

Truth: Balance is often found in simplicity.

Look at this shot. It’s early morning. It’s sun, plants, peace, and connection with Fluff (I can promise you, connection is one of the most powerful 'remedies' in Ayurveda!)

This is Dinacharya in action.

Ayurveda is not about rigid rules. It’s about knowing your own 'dosha' (constitution) and giving your body what it truly needs to navigate its environment. For me, that navigation always starts with grounding my energy and fostering emotional safety before I start my workday.

Health is not a quick fix, and true wellness requires understanding your body’s unique language. If you can start your day with just one ritual of intention, you are already healing.

Does it ever feel like the world is moving faster than you were designed to go?

I was recently reading Ursula Maria Bell, and this line struck me: "Being human means gentle growth and transformation... it can only unfold if it is in harmony with the pace of our soul."

In modern society, we often treat burnout and mental health struggles as "glitches" to be fixed quickly so we can get back to work. But what if these struggles are actually our souls reacting to a pace that is fundamentally un-human?

These words by Ursula Maria Bell in her book resonate deeply with what I practice here at RAY Healing. So often, our stress comes from the gap between where we are and where we think we should be.

True wellness—whether through a balancing Ayurvedic consultation, a restorative Reiki session, or a deep Yin Yoga practice—starts when we stop fighting our current reality. When we reconcile with our past and our present body, we finally give ourselves permission to breathe.

Flashback to an incredible morning of healing last month!

As we celebrate International Women's Day this weekend, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible energy at FEMTalks .community.malta We didn't just talk theory—we moved. We explored why we suppress our needs to keep the peace (Dr. Gabor Maté’s "Autoimmune Personality") and how that gets stuck in our bodies.

I loved seeing so many of you have that "Aha!" moment when you realized your Dosha Type. Whether you discovered you were a fiery Pitta trying to do it all, or a creative Vata needing more grounding, understanding your "Engine" is the first step to healing.

March Update: Spring is around the corner! If you are feeling the urge to "Spring Clean" your body or your habits, let’s get your flow back.
