🚨 Rapid Intervention Prevents Escalation – St Venera Tunnels 🚨

Earlier today, a vehicle fire inside the St Venera tunnels was swiftly brought under control following the prompt intervention of a Mater Dei Hospital nurse, together with an emergency ambulance responder, who were on duty in a Rapid Response Vehicle.

The responders were passing through the area alongside an ambulance when the incident was identified. Immediate action was taken using a fire extinguisher, successfully extinguishing the fire and preventing further escalation, thereby reducing risk to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

Mater Dei Hospital acknowledges the professionalism, readiness, and decisive action demonstrated, which contributed directly to safeguarding public safety. 👏🚑🔥

🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE UPDATE – ĦAL GĦAXAQ INDUSTRIAL FIRE

Mater Dei Hospital’s emergency responders remain on standby, working closely with Civil Protection Malta and other emergency services at the scene of the industrial fire in Ħal Għaxaq.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all responders, the fire has been contained and the situation is under control. Our teams continue to ensure full medical readiness and support for those on the ground.
