We are currently seeking a Human Resources Senior Executive to join our team.
The Human Resources Senior Executive is a key position within the Human Resources (HR) team and provides first hand support to the HR Manager. The HR Department is responsible to lead and implement the key human resource functions of the Group, including recruitment, maintenance of employee records and enhancing employee relations. This role requires an individual who has a keen eye for detail and can work on his/her own initiative, meet tight deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced environment. The successful individual needs to lead the HR team under the supervision and guidance of the HR Manager. This position reports directly to the HR manager.
Responsibilities
• Establish relationships with employees and management, providing employee support with regards to the various HR related matters;
• Oversee the administrative processes related to the HR department. You will be expected to provide assistance and support for the day-to-day HR-related requirements including the upkeep of the company’s HR data system, assistance and management of emails and various platforms that are integral for the HR Department as required;
• Ensure the compilation and collection of necessary documentation required for employees;
• Monitor the implementation and compliance of the company’s HR procedures;
• Take initiatives to establish a positive employer-employee relations and promote a high level of employee morale;
• Assist with creating, implementing, and improving policies and procedures;
• Assist with overseeing employee relations, employee development, and taking disciplinary action when necessary;
• Assist with preparing and presenting reports to the senior management;
• Engage in any other task related to the role as required by the HR Manager.
Knowledge, skills and experience
• Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR environment;
• Possess excellent communication skills to deal effectively with employees at all levels;
• Possess a practical hands-on approach to work;
• Have a very good level of written and spoken English and Maltese;
• Be proficient in IT, including MS Office applications;
• Demonstrated knowledge of Maltese employment law and HR-related qualifications will be considered an asset.
