Some time ago, someone very dear to me asked if I could write a small book about meditation.
So, in just a few months, I gathered simple practices and words that came straight from the heart.

This book was born to offer calm and clarity in those moments when stress and anxiety feel overwhelming.
It’s a path made of small steps and gentle reflections, inspired by Taoism, Buddhism, what we now call mindfulness, and my own experience.

It doesn’t try to change who we are, but simply to remind us of the strength and quiet peace we already carry within.
For me, it feels like a quiet companion along the way, and I truly hope it can be the same for those who open its pages.

Reading advice:
This is not a book to rush through. Read a few pages at a time, maybe in the morning or before going to sleep, and let the words settle. Even a single paragraph can be enough to bring you back to your breath and to yourself.

Qigong is one of those practices that looks simple from the outside—slow movements, breathing, stillness—but inside it’s a whole world. It has been around for thousands of years in China, born from the idea that our energy, our Qi, flows through the body like a river. When the river flows smoothly, we feel healthy, balanced, alive. When it gets blocked, we feel tired, unwell, or even sick.

There are many forms of Qigong. Some are practiced standing still, some sitting, even lying down. Some are gentle, others more powerful, with stretching or explosive movements. Over time, more than 10,000 different styles have appeared, and today millions of people all over the world practise them.

The word itself explains it: Qi is our life energy, and Gong means work. So Qigong is simply “working with your energy.” By combining movement, breathing, and awareness, it helps body and mind reconnect.

In recent years, even doctors and scientists in the West have started to confirm what Chinese medicine has always said: regular Qigong or Tai Chi practice improves health, reduces stress, supports the immune system, and can even relieve pain.

Among the many traditions, Health Qigong has become one of the most widespread. It was created by bringing together some of the most effective and ancient forms—like Ba Duan Jin, Yi Jin Jing, Wu Qin Xi, Liu Zi Jue—and adapting them for today’s lifestyle. It’s a system that keeps the essence of the old practices but makes them accessible and safe for everyone, young or old, beginner or advanced.

What I love about Health Qigong is its simplicity: anyone can start, and everyone can benefit. At the same time, it’s deep enough that you can keep learning for a lifetime.

Of course, to get the most out of it, it’s important to learn with a qualified instructor, so the movements and breathing are done safely and with the right intention. That’s why Health Qigong instructors go through professional training and certification—to make sure what is passed on stays authentic and beneficial.

For me, Qigong is not just exercise. It’s a way of slowing down, reconnecting with myself, and keeping balance in the middle of a busy life. And it’s always a joy to share this practice with others.
