The Electoral Commission informs voters that those who hold the EU Disability Card may be given immediate access on voting day without having to wait in the queue, and without the need for a medical certificate.

Our recent Erasmus+ mobility programme in Lanciano, in collaboration with Connect Abruzzo, brought together Aġenzija Sapport employees for a series of interactive workshops and hands-on sessions aimed at strengthening collaboration, sparking new ideas, and turning insight into action.

Through practical exercises and shared learning, participants explored innovative approaches, exchanged best practices, and worked side by side to enhance service delivery. The sessions encouraged open dialogue, problem solving, and a forward-looking mindset, empowering teams to drive meaningful change in their day-to-day work.

Senior Executive Josephine Grima, from the Aġenzija Sapport Human Resources Department, attended the In Good Shape study visit in Berlin, Germany, hosted by AWO Bundesverband e.V.

This visit provided insights into how employers’ organisations operate in Germany, including social dialogue, collective bargaining, and good practices in supporting the social sector.

Aġenzija Sapport qed tkompli ssaħħaħ is-servizzi tagħha permezz ta’ faċilità ġdida fil-komunità ta’ Ħal Kirkop. Din il-binja ser tospita kemm servizzi ta’ respite kif ukoll servizzi tranżitorji b’kollaborazzjoni mal-Fondazzjoni Inspire, bil-għan li tappoġġja persuni b’diżabilità lejn għajxien aktar indipendenti fil-komunità.

B’dan il-proġett, Aġenzija Sapport qed tkompli timplimenta l-viżjoni tagħha biex toffri servizzi aktar diversifikati u tilħaq aktar persuni b’diżabilità, f’konformità mal-prinċipji tal-UNCRPD li jippromwovu l-għajxien fil-komunità, id-dritt tal-għażla u l-inklużjoni.

Din il-faċilità, li mistennija titlesta fix-xhur li ġejjin, ingħatat l-isem ‘Spalla’, ġie magħżul b’kollaborazzjoni ma’ studenti mill-Kulleġġ San Benedittu, Ħal Kirkop. ‘Spalla’ jirreferi għas-sostenn li jingħataw kemm il-persuni b’diżabilità kif ukoll il-familjari.

We are proud to have been part of the European Social Services Conference 2026 held in Malta 🇲🇹

Bringing together hundreds of professionals, frontline workers, and policymakers from across Europe and beyond, the conference once again proved to be a powerful platform for exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and exploring innovative approaches across key social themes including disability, child protection, governance, housing, and technology.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the European Social Network for their continued partnership and for delivering such a high-quality and impactful event.

It was a pleasure connecting with so many inspiring individuals and organisations throughout the conference. A special thank you to everyone who attended the case study session on Independent Living: Enabling Personal Choice. Your engagement and contributions made the discussion truly meaningful.

We leave with fresh perspectives, strengthened collaborations, and renewed motivation to continue improving social services together.

New expression of interest announcement!

Aġenzija Sapport has opened an Expression of Interest for the Provision of Vehicle Repair, Maintenance and Related Automotive Services.

The required supplier should be capable of providing vehicle repair, maintenance, bodywork and related services for the Agency's fleet and vehicles under its responsibility.

As part of the European Social Services Conference 2026, Aġenzija Sapport hosted a study visit showcasing its approach to independent living services.

The visit provided a practical insight into service delivery, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration across Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech & Language Therapy.

Participants were given insights into assessments related to mobility, seating, adapted driving, and assistive technologies. They also explored how Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) and Electronic Assistive Technology (EAT) enhance participation and improve quality of life.

Overall, the visit highlighted how person-centred services can empower persons with disabilities to live independently and be fully included in their communities.

Director Maria Cynthia DeBono attended a study visit in Porto as part of the Early Childhood Member Forum, under the Lighthouse Network Activity of EASPD. This study visit focused on inclusive early childhood intervention practices, highlighting collaborative approaches between educators, ECI professionals, and families to better support children with developmental disabilities in everyday settings.
