NOTICE OF CLOSURE OF MAWOP - DUE TO A REGULATORY TIGHTENING UP OF VOLUNTARY AND NGO SECTOR BY THE AUTHORITIES IT WAS DECIDED, ON ADVICE, THAT DUE TO THE RELATIVE INACTIVITY OF THE ASSOCIATION AND A LACK OF ENOUGH PEOPLE ON THE COMMITTEE TO FULFIL THE STATUTE AS WELL AS A DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE AT THE END OF JUNE , TO WIND DOWN MAWOP AS AN ASSOCIATION, WHICH WAS DULY CARRIED OUT IN THE LEGAL OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER FOR VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS.
