Tibialis posterior tendinopathy can be a common presentation in runners and walkers, and it often characterized by a dull pain which is worse in the morning on taking the first step. It is generally caused by overuse and doing ‘too much too soon’. Incorrect footwear could also be the culprit.
When preparing for your next race, trek or adventure, make sure you train your foot to adapt to the stresses with gradual strengthening and conditioning, to prevent this injury from occurring.
