Today, one of our little heroes decided numbers were more fun in a dinosaur costume. And honestly… we couldn’t agree more!

And so, our therapy room came alive with roars, laughter, and learning. With his costume on and his imagination leading the way, number formation suddenly became an adventure — one filled with confidence, joy, and curiosity!

At Ablesense Therapy, we treasure these moments — when play becomes progress, when laughter leads the way, and when a child’s magic shows us how learning is meant to feel 🌈

Little Hands, Little Tools!

Parents and educators, a quick reminder! When preparing supplies for our youngest learners, size matters!

🌟 Pack short crayons, pencils, and tools—or better yet, cut them in half! It’s a simple adjustment, but it makes a huge difference for little hands still developing fine motor skills

Shorter tools are easier to grip, control, and manipulate, making activities more enjoyable and less frustrating!

Let’s set them up for success, one small tool at a time! ✨

Super Skills September – Session 2: Creative Creators! 🎨🤖

Our second session of Super Skills September was all about unleashing imagination and building without limits!

Today’s theme, Creative Creators, brought out the inner inventors in everyone. We designed our own robots 🤖, built incredible creations with LEGOs, explored drill toys, constructed marble runs, and so much more! 🧱⚙️🎢

From wild ideas to hands-on masterpieces, it was a day full of fun, creativity, and super skills in action. 💡🙌

Sensibility Scheme in Malta: Empowering Families to Create Sensory Rooms

Did you know that through Malta’s Sensibility Scheme, families can receive financial assistance of up to €6,000 to help set up a sensory room for children with sensory challenges? As an Occupational Therapy clinic, we are here to support you every step of the way!

🏡 Our Services Include:

Home Visits: We visit your home to assess your space and provide personalized recommendations for creating a sensory-rich environment.

Reports & Recommendations: After the assessment, we provide a report with specific equipment suggestions to meet your child’s needs.

Recent Success We recently assisted a family in designing their sensory room with the help of the Sensibility Scheme funds. By utilizing the grant, they were able to transform their space into a calming, therapeutic environment for their child. With the equipment supplied by Abela’s Pharmacy, the sensory room is now a safe and stimulating space that enhances their child’s sensory experience.

SuperSkills September: Little Chefs Edition 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Today’s session was deliciously fun as our Little Chefs got cooking with creativity! 🍽️✨

We stirred together learning and laughter with a food-themed adventure that :

🥪 Built fine motor skills through food-themed crafts and Play-Doh creations
🍅 Strengthened gross motor skills with interactive, food-inspired activities
🥬 Topped it all off with a “Make Your Own Sandwich” buffet — because what’s a chef without a masterpiece to serve?

But that’s not all!
🧼 We practiced the importance of hand washing before handling food
⏳ Learned about waiting our turn
🤝 And worked on sharing ingredients and tools like true team players!

From spreading to stacking, squishing to slicing (safely, of course!) — our tiny tastemakers stirred up more than snacks... they stirred up skills!

Super Skills September at Ablesense Pediatric Therapy is a 4-session program for children who are in school years 1 to 4. It’s all about fun, movement, and growth! Kids will enjoy hands-on activities like obstacle courses, crafts, games, and more, all designed to boost coordination, creativity, and skills!
