Groin Pain in Sport? It Might Be Pubalgia
Got groin pain that keeps coming back? It might not be just a strain 👇
🔍 What is it?
Pubalgia = pain around the groin and lower abs from overuse.
⚠️ Signs to watch:
• Pain in groin or lower stomach
• Worse when running, kicking, or turning
• Pain when squeezing your legs together
• Tender near the p***c bone
💥 Why it happens:
• Weak core muscles
• Tight/overworked inner thigh muscles
• Too much load, too quickly
• Poor hip movement
🛠️ What helps:
✔️ Gentle strength work (pain-free)
✔️ Core exercises
✔️ Gradual return to sport
✔️ Good load management
🚨 Don’t ignore it
It can become long-term if not treated properly.
