THE EPIPHANY CONCERT 2026 ~ 7th edition

The 7th Edition of the EPIPHANY CONCERT took place on Sunday 4th January 2026, being the last event for the Festive Season and the first event for the new year 2026.

This year the concert hosted the FATHER’S ANGELS CHILDREN’S CHOIR hailing from the Sacro Cuore Parish Church in Sliema. The Choir was led by Rev. Fr. Joe Caruana OFM under the music direction of Ms. Louisa Frendo Wirth.

The event also hosted Malta’s Celebrity Singer MARY SPITERI who performed a number of songs from her repertoire, one of which was "Little Child"

Chev. Joe. M. Attard read for the last time the Christmas 2025 poem while Rev. Fr Marcello Ghirlando forwarded a spiritual message for the occasion.

The concert took place at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Għajnsielem Gozo.

The Ministry for Gozo ~ Cultural Heritage Directorate together with the Għajnsielem Local Council, The Grand Hotel and Mal Moll Restaurant of Xlendi Bay supported this event.

IT’S TIME TO GIVE PEACE A CHANCE.

“There is time for everything, one of which is PEACE”, a quote from one of the Christmas speeches by the late Queen Elizabet II. This strong message was the echo during the concert for PEACE ~ a concert during the Christmas Season, which took place on Sunday the 28th of December 2025 being the last Sunday of the year.

The concert hosted the JP2 Female String Quartet which was composed of two violin players Kathryn Mizzi and Loreane Scicluna, a viola player Eneh Lang, a cellist Fiona Murphy. Pianist Jennifer Grech accompanied the quartet and the three local sopranos, Roberta Hili, Katrina Mifsud and Giannella Muscat. Together they performed a number of peaceful melodies with a strong message for Serenity in a World full of struggles.

All those who have harmony at heart attend this music manifestation for Peace.

The event took place at Saint Augustin Church, Victoria, Gozo and was supported by the Ministry for Gozo and Planning ~ Cultural Heritage Directorate and the Victoria Local Council being the European Capital of Culture 2031.

Last Thursday 18th December 2025, The San Ġwann Local Council in full collaboration with Franciscan Capuchin Community and the Parish Church of San Ġwann together with the JP2 Cultural Foundation organised “A CONCERT FOR PEACE”. This event took place at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church, San Ġwann. The concert was enchanted by a number of Christmas Melodies; J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, Il Pastorale, Mykola Leontovych, Christmas Medley and others. The concert hosted the JP2 Music Quintet; Kathryna Mizzi and Loreane Scicluna played the violin, Anna Zammit played the viola, Fiona Murphy played the cello and Kellyanne Spiteri played the piano.
The music quintet hosted two local sopranos Roberta Hili and Giannella Muscat and the young Maltese tenor, Michel Angelo Muscat. The numerous audience that attended this concert were welcomed by the Mayor of San Ġwann Mr. Dominic Cassar, as well as Rev Bertrand Vella the parish priest, shared with the present parishioners a spiritual message. The event gave also the opportunity to the guest to hear the Christmas 2025 poem written and read by Chev. Joe. M. Attard. The concert ended with all eight artists singing and playing together the traditional Maltese Christmas hymn NINNI LA TIBKIX IZJED written by Fr. Indi Schemberi.

The JP2 Cultural Foundation will be hosting during this weekend the Woldingham School Choir to perform in four occasions in Malta and Gozo.

The Woldingham School is a leading independent Catholic girls’ school set in 700 acres of beautiful countryside in Surrey, England. Music is central to the life of the school and the whole community regularly gathers to sing as one. Woldingham attracts musical talent from all over the globe and many of the current Music Scholars are also students at the junior departments of leading London conservatoires, including the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. The school holds numerous choirs, orchestras and ensembles who rehearse each week and musical excellence is enabled and celebrated. In March 2024, Woldingham School won the national Pro Corda Chamber Music Competition and the Founders’ Trophy. Summer 2024 results for academic Music were outstanding with 100% of pupils gaining 7-9 at GCSE and a Year 13 pupil gaining an A* at A Level Music and an offer to read Music at Cambridge with an Organ Scholarship. All classroom music lessons are taught by subject specialists, and a team of 20 visiting music teachers made up of some of the finest musicians in London who deliver exceptional one-to-one music lessons in a wide variety of disciplines.

The standard of choral singing at Woldingham is high and every year the choirs perform in Westminster Cathedral as part of the Carol Service. The Chapel Choir has sung Evensong alongside pupils from Eton College in Eton College Chapel and the Chamber Choir has reached the final of the Girls’ School Association Choral Competition. Woldingham School regularly collaborates with, and commissions works by leading composers, including Cecilia McDowall and Errollyn Wallen, Master of the King’s Music.

The Choir will participate in its first recital at the Annunciation of Our Lady & St. Domnic Church in BIRGU (Malta) on Friday 4 July 2025 at 19.00hrs. the second recital will take place at the Our Lady of Fair Havens & St. Dominic Basilica Church in VALLETTA, on Saturday 5th July 2025 at 19.00hrs. On Sunday 5th July 2025 the choir will be animating a High Mass by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Paul in MDINA at 9.30am to be televised live on TVM2. While the third recital will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church GHAJNSIELEM (Gozo) On Monday 7th July 2025 at 19.30hrs.
