Among the extraordinary blooms of the Roseto Comunale di Roma, I had the chance to admire hundreds of rose varieties from all over the world. 🌹

Thanks to the guidance of Roberta Donati from
, I also learned more about the traditional uses and properties of the rose — a plant long appreciated in Mediterranean herbal traditions for its gentle action on the skin, its delicate aroma, and its connection to emotional wellbeing.

This experience reminded me why rose preparations have been treasured for centuries, especially Rose Damask hydrosol: refreshing, soothing, and beautifully aromatic. ✨

Soon I will also share my own Rose Damask floral water, prepared for natural skincare and daily botanical rituals. 🌹

Metamorphosis: when we walk together, something changes. 🌿

What began as a simple day in nature slowly became something more: shared stories, laughter, silence, discovery and connection.

Sometimes transformation does not happen in big dramatic moments.
It happens step by step, along a path, between people who were strangers in the morning and part of the same journey by sunset.

Thank you to Karen Mamo directorate malta of ideas .mt.ngo Joseph Bugeja who shared this beautiful day at Comino. 💚

🌿 **Last call – Plants Walk | 2 May (Victoria, Gozo)**

Right now, the landscape is changing.

Some plants are already retreating under the coming summer heat…
others are at their fullest expression.

On this short but intense walk (about 1 hour), we’ll meet them exactly in this moment.

Among them:
– wild mustard, already going to seed — a plant of heat and intensity
– poppy, soft and abundant — carrying a very different, cooling nature
– wild oats, turning golden and spreading everywhere

And many more, growing quietly along walls and at the edges of fields.

This is an invitation to learn how to read them:
their temperaments, their timing, and how they can support *your* own balance.

📍 A hidden, fascinating corner in the heart of Victoria
🕙 Start: 10:00
⏳ Duration: ~1 hour
💶 Contribution: €10 per person

Only a few spots left.

If you’ve been thinking about it… this is your moment.

Plants choose where to grow — and we meet them there.

🌿 In continuity with our last herbal walk…

we explored how traditional systems of observation tried to understand human temperament through nature, balance, and qualities.

In the classical tradition, the theory of the four humors was linked to the idea of temperament, often described through qualities such as hot, cold, dry, and moist 🌙

The four temperaments — melancholic, phlegmatic, sanguine, and choleric — were ways of mapping balance and constitution through observation of nature and human character.

This idea of reading human nature through observation also appears in many cultural narratives, including the Korean drama *The King’s Face*, where the reading of facial features becomes part of understanding human destiny and nature 🌿

Different cultures have used different languages to describe the same question: how do we understand balance in nature and in ourselves? 🌿

More walks and workshops coming soon ✨

What a beautiful morning we shared yesterday at Ta’ Ċenċ 🌿

A walk in nature with kind and open-hearted people is already a beautiful gift.

But sharing Mediterranean traditional medicine, the theory of humours, ancient wisdom and living traditions — and feeling your curiosity, your presence, your genuine interest — made it something truly special.

I felt it as a real exchange, not just a walk.

A heartfelt thank you to all of you for walking with me, listening, sharing, and being part of this experience in such a place of deep peace and quiet sacredness.

And a special thank you to Warren Bugeja for helping bring together such a wonderful group of genuinely interested people, and for his work in keeping traditions alive.

And thank you to Serena Benita Cassar Torreggiani for the beautiful pictures.
