I remember back in 2020 when I spoke about workouts for mental and emotional health, and the power of movement as a way to show love to our bodies instead of punishment.
The reactions I received were blunt, with messages and requests mainly focused on losing weight, becoming skinny, and getting back to pre-pregnancy size.
And you know what? There's nothing wrong with having physical aesthetic goals. But here's the key: it should never come at the expense of your overall health 🌿
Fastrack to today, I've started to see the shift happening. People are realizing that workouts aren't *just* about physical goals anymore.
It's about shaking off stress, decreasing anxiety, fighting insomnia, boosting happiness, and more!
The desire to feel relaxed, uplifted, and empowered is taking center stage. And let me tell you, I couldn't be happier that this shift is finally happening!
It's been a journey⏳It took 3years of being looked at like an outsider, 3years of going against the grain in the fitness industry, facing judgment and being snubbed by traditional coaches who pushed diets and punishing workouts.
I rebelled against the shaming and guilting fitness industry. But I'm proud to say that this shift is what the studio always been about.
