Diabetes is a lifelong condition which can cause life and limb threatening problems.

Patient presented with callus formation on plantar foot with underlying ulcer.

As a diabetic patient, any anomalies on the leg and feet need to be look into as soon as possible,

Regular dressings and offloading will be required till the wound get healed. Specialised shoes or insoles can be used as a preventative measure in the long run.

To note: If you have had an ulcer before, or an amputation, you are at high risk of developing more ulcers.
