🎶At Ste Catherine, music brings people together and opens new paths

Since 2010, ENL Foundation has been working alongside the Ste Catherine community to support the personal growth of children, with music playing a key role.

Ascencia is proud to be part of this journey through its CSR support. Together, we have helped launch:
🎨 an art therapy workshop
🧠 psychosocial support to build emotional resilience
🎼 and a music workshop

As part of this collaboration, a group of children recently visited Bagatelle Mall to learn more about solar energy and how our cooling system works, turning a mall visit into a learning moment. Thank you to Artisan Coffee Mauritius, Panarottis Mauritius, El Mondo, and Intermart for adding warmth and care to this experience.

Our CSR committee also spent time in Ste Catherine, not only to better understand the projects on the ground but to connect with the team from Zenerasion Nou Kapav (ZNK), the local community-based organisation doing remarkable work in the community. Their dedication is key to making these initiatives succeed.

Nature of Business

Ascencia Ltd (‘The Group’) is a public company incorporated in Mauritius in 2007 and listed on the Development & Enterprise Market (‘DEM’) of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (‘SEM’). The Group is guided by good corporate governance practices. Its principal activity is to acquire, invest and hold investments in real estate primarily located in Mauritius. In line with this rationale, Ascencia actively manages its portfolio of properties through regular acquisitions and disposals so as to optimise shareholder returns.

The profits of the Group are subject to a corporate tax of 15%. Dividends paid to the shareholders of the Group are not liable to tax. In addition, disinvestment from the Group’s shares is not liable to land transfer tax, as is the case when disposing of actual properties held. Similarly, investors are not liable to registration duties when dealing with the shares of the Group.
