Dr. Yassin Hamuth and the Vision Xpress team conducted a highly successful free eye screening event at Islamic College, Port Louis, offering essential eye care services to a large number of patients.
Dr. Hamuth performed examinations including cataract screening, glaucoma assessments, and vision checks for prescription glasses.

We were honored by the visit of Honorable Mr. Eshan Jummun, who came to show his support for this meaningful community initiative.

We were also pleased to have Ismaail Patel, sports champion and Branch Chief of World Kyokushin Budokai Mauritius, as well as Javed Parthay, Councillor and active member of the Municipal Council of Port Louis, who were present and offered their encouragement.

To our patients:
Here are the steps involved in treating a cataract and how an artificial lens is implanted. This video clip dates back to 2020.

Today, the same procedure is performed under topical anaesthesia, and injections are no longer required. As a result, patients experience a faster and safer recovery.

En 2022, après avoir participé à un entretien à la PSC, et ce malgré un solide bagage d’expérience ainsi que de nombreuses interventions réalisées à l’hôpital, je n’ai pas été sélectionné. Pourtant, une personne proche du pouvoir, encore en période d’adaptation, a été choisie. Cette pratique est confirmée dans cet article par le responsable de la PSC, M. Suresh Seebaluck. Nos établissements ne pourront jamais exceller avec ce type de recrutement farfelu, et ce sont les Mauriciens qui en paient le prix.

Je réclamerais fortement un audit sur le fonctionnement des hôpitaux et sur les compétences des personnes recrutées, parfois par la « petite fenêtre », car c’est la santé des Mauriciens qui est en jeu. Merci. ,
