CAP Research réalise des essais cliniques pour des laboratoires pharmaceutiques internationaux. Cette société travaille selon des procédures très rigoureuses et conformément aux normes internationales. CAP Research s'appuie sur plus de 25 ans d'expérience en France. Qu'est-ce qu'un essai clinique:
Avant qu'un médicament ne soit commercialisé, on doit vérifier son efficacité et sa bonne tolérance. Il existe un processus très long et très strict pour valider les résultats et permettre l'utilisation sur l'homme. Un essai se déroule en plusieurs parties:
- la phase I: réalisée chez des personnes en bonne santé (volontaires sains), permet de voir au bout de combien de temps le médicament a une concentration maximale dans le sang et au bout de combien de temps il n'est plus dans l'organisme.
- la phase II: le médicament est donné à un petit nombre de patients pour confirmer son efficacité sur la maladie ciblée.
- la phase III: le médicament est donné à un grand nombre de patients dans de nombreux pays en même temps pour confirmer le dosage le plus efficace et le mieux toléré sur la maladie ciblée. Tous les médicaments actuellement sur le marché sont passés par ces étapes. Les personnes qui ont participé à des essais ont permis, par leur générosité et leur participation, de sauver des millions d'êtres humains ou de guérir de maladies graves.
