This jumping activity is designed to help children with sensory processing challenges, particularly sensory seekers, by providing them with essential sensory input in a structured and engaging way.
👉Sensory seekers often seek movement and pressure to regulate their bodies, and jumping offers both proprioceptive input and vestibular input, that help them feel more in control and focused 🧘
👉The cues add a visual and cognitive component to the activity that promote sensory-motor integration as the child processes what they see and translates it into movement.
👉Jumping provides rhythmic and repetitive movement, which can be calming for the sensory seeker’s nervous system 🧠☺️
🔴This is a playful yet a therapeutic exercise that is an excellent way to meet the sensory needs, improve body awareness, and support the child’s overall sensory and motor development.
