Working with the body is an endless learning journey…

After having met in 2016 who helped me discover the world of fascia. With all her knowledge and generosity she trained me in releasing the fascia through movement.

Since I have been on a continuous learning journey to learn more about the fascia…

Fascia… an inner world to discover!

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet with Christian Courraud and following his training on fasciatherapy.

Through a specific type of massage which helps the body to release from tension and/or blockage whether emotional and physical.

Mountain Climbing remains on of my most challenging exercise in this method. And I am just doing the easiest part of the exercise😅
This works the coordination, alignment, balance and control, and strengthen the legs and buttocks.

TOWER on the Cadillac. The feel good exercise! It’s the perfect balance between Strength, Stretch and Opposition.

This exercise, Arms Back, is so good to open the shoulders and chest while working the arms, lifting the spine. Here done on the Wunda Chair, an apparatus from Gratz.

HUG on the reformer.
This exercise can be done on different equipment, just like many exercises in Pilates. Each equipment brings different challenges.
While articulating the spine, Hug opens the front line, strengthen the centre, back and legs.
The more you let go in this exercise, the further you can reach back and enjoy the lengthening of the front body. Here reaching the arms back to the frame. Such a good feeling!

What a gift to have the opportunity to take a class with during a quick stay in Geneva. She trains yoga and Pilates teachers in fascia and movement therapy and is well known in Europe for knowledge and training. She is passionate in what she does and shares her deep knowledge generously to others who wants to learn in body functionality and much more. She has been a blessing on my path as a teacher. She helped me to deepen my knowledge and feel this deep work about body functionality. This really helps me to guide my clients in their needs.

Chest Expansion is a basic exercise in the Pilates Method. It helps to open the chest, learning how to breath properly, strengthening the back and the arms and stretching the neck.
This exercise done on the reformer is an advanced exercise. The challenge with the carriage moving is to maintain the balance and control of the alignment.

How do you breath? Do you tense your upper body when you breath? Do you lift your shoulders to use your arms?
