spread of coronavirus within 30 mins in a restaurant
Day 55 in quarantine.
Watch: Viral Japanese Video Shows How Quickly COVID-19 Can Spread At A Buffet.
NHK conducted an experiment to see how germs spread at a cruise buffet. Invisible fluorescent paint — visible only under a black light — was applied to the palm of one person. That person represented an “infected” person who had coughed into his hand. The paint represented the virus.
The "infected" person together with 10 persons were made to dine. In 30 min the paint had transferred to every individual and was on the faces of 3.
Be careful, as we are nearing end of lockdown, to continue the personal protection, mask, washing hands, distance,...
Recommendations for Ramadan
Vaccination during the Lockdown is always challenging. Below is a small video of vaccination done for residents and staff of BG Care Home. The patient below was very scared of injections. Together with the HCAs, we tried to make the patient relax by singing and dancing.
It is thanks to that smile from my patients that I get my drive to strive for the welfare of others.
P.S: I am not wearing PPEs as I normally do, so as to not scare the patients away. Proper sterile environment was observed.
Coronavirus update.
Where do we stand?
177 countries with at least one case on COVID-19
Worldwide Infected - 1.5m
Worldwide Deaths - 90k
Worldwide Recovered - 340k
Confirmed cases:
Mauritius - 314 (inc 7 deaths)
Reunion - 362
Seychelles - 11
Madagascar - 93
Mayotte - 184 (inc 2 deaths)
Maldives -19
Authorities are ramping up testing for COVID-19. 6739 tests have been done which equates to only 0.5% of the population.
We are fighting an invisible enemy. Most developed countries with far greater Medical infrastructures are down on their knees and counting dead body bags. If everyone stays home, the virus cannot spread and thus will die out.
Stay Safe and God Bless

Video from USA Today
Young people are getting extremely sick from coronavirus, according to new evidence.
Despite initial data from China that showed elderly people and those with other health conditions were most vulnerable, young people between ages of 19 - 50 are falling seriously ill. Many require intensive care, according to reports from Italy and France. The risk is particularly dire for those with ailments that haven’t yet been diagnosed.
The data bears out that concern. In Italy, the hardest hit country in Europe, almost a quarter of the nearly 28,000 coronavirus patients are between the ages of 19 and 50, according to data website Statista.
In the US, the CDC analyzed the cases of about 2,500 patients in the United States whose ages were known. Of the 508 patients known to have been hospitalized, 20% were notably younger — between ages 20 and 44, while 18% were between ages 45 and 54, the report says. The highest percentage of hospitalized patients was at 26% between ages 65 and 84.
COVID-19 is a highly contagious and fatal virus. We are still learning about it every day. Data suggests that young adults are not immune as previously thought. Stay safe, stay home and God Bless
