Occupational Therapists' Association - Mauritius Occupational Therapists' Association of Mauritius Founded in July 1997 & the first executive committee elected on the 27th October 1997 were Mrs J. Sobun & Mr R.

Occupational Therapists' Association (OTA) is the only association which gathers together Occupational Therapists in Mauritius. Laurent, Mrs Y.L. Leung Yin Ko, Mrs B. Emandee, Mrs M.F. Montocchio, Mrs S. Seedhoo. Since 2006, the OTA is affiliated with the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). Currently, the OTA includes a total of 43 members - 24 Full Members & 19 Student Members. Th

e OTA is guided by the philosophy of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT) and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). It is the 50th member of the WFOT since 1998. In 1999, the OTA became a member of the Occupational Therapy Africa Region Group (OTARG) & was privileged to host in Mauritius, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health & Quality of Life, the Executive Management Commitee Meeting of WFOT & the first OTARG Congress.
