Hulhumalé Hospital hosted the NRL Australia team together with WHO and Ministry of Health QARD as part of the national laboratory quality strengthening initiative. The NRL team emphasised that “quality management is a way of life and a cultural change.”
During the meeting, the CEO highlighted the importance of aligning laboratory systems with Maldives Digitalization Policy 2.0 under the vision of H.E. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, ensuring integration, efficiency, and strengthened quality governance across all diagnostic services.

Today, our Public Health Centre conducted a health screening for Hulhumale WAMCO staff as part of the World Diabetes Day activities. The screening focused on identifying risk factors for NCDs and educating individuals on lifestyle modifications to improve wellbeing and prevent diabetes

November 16, 2025 marks one year since Hulhumalé Hospital was designated as a tertiary-level facility under the national Criteria for Grading of Health Facilities; a milestone that strengthened healthcare access for our rapidly growing community. Over the past year, we expanded specialised services, enhanced patient-centred care, and improved access to advanced diagnostics and treatment.
As we begin our second year, our commitment remains clear: delivering safe, high-quality, and accessible care for all.
