To mark International Thalassemia Day 2026, Thalassemia screening for Grade 10 students has been successfully completed.

This initiative was conducted to promote early detection, raise awareness, and encourage a healthier future for our younger generation.

Our nurses at A. Dh. Atoll Hospital kicked off International Nurses Week 2026 with a community outreach trip to Fenfushi.

The trip included

• BMI, BP, GRBS, and body fat percentage screening for individuals above 25 years of age
• School health education sessions for Grades 7-10 students
• Home visits to bedridden patients with gifts
• Team building activities for nurses

We extend our sincere gratitude to Fenfushi Health Center for their warm welcome, support and cooperation, and to the people of Fenfushi for the support and participation.

The session focused on raising awareness about thalassemia, the importance of early screening and prevention.
