Breastfeeding is one of the most effective ways to ensure child health and survival.(WHO)
Breastmilk is the ideal food for infants. It is safe, clean and contains antibodies which help protect against many common childhood illnesses. ( WHO)
Breastmilk provides all the energy and nutrients that the infant needs for the first months of life, and it continues to provide up to half or more of a child’s nutritional needs during the second half of the first year, and up to one third during the second year of life. (WHO)
Breastfed children perform better on intelligence tests, are less likely to be overweight or obese and less prone to diabetes later in life. Women who breastfeed also have a reduced risk of breast and ovarian cancers. (WHO)
Although it is recommended that you feed your baby directly from the breast for the first six months, sometimes it may not be possible. As a result, you are left with no choice but to pump and feed your baby breast milk from a bottle. The most common reason for exclusive pumping is when your baby is not latching as they should.
The information on these slides may help you to increase breast milk so you can exclusively breastfeed or exclusively pump and feed your baby.
Even after trying all these techniques sometimes its impossible to feed breastmilk, in that case remember FED is the BEST🤱🍼
