The first-ever Maldivian Physiotherapy Symposium conducted by IGMH physiotherapy concluded with a hands-on practical session for all the participants. The second day featured demonstrations for balance rehabilitation, BFR training, patient transfer techniques and simulated home safety and falls prevention activities.

IGMH Physiotherapy hosted the very first Physiotherapy Symposium in the Maldives, held in celebration of World Physiotherapy Day 2025 under the theme ‘Healthy Ageing: Prevention of Falls and Frailty.’ The event brought together the majority of licensed clinical physiotherapists from the Greater Malé area, along with speakers from various professions and institutions who shared their expertise over the two-day program. The first day concluded with a panel discussion on aged care and Maldivian culture, featuring the Director General of Health Services Dr. Ahmed Ashraf as one of the panelists.
