A festive turtle tale.

On the first day of the festive season, our biologists rescued 16 critically endangered Hawksbill hatchlings near the Turtle Tree House, gently guiding them back to the sea. After an extensive search, the nest was located on the beach directly in front of the Turtle Tree House by our Sea Turtle Biologist from the Olive Ridley Project — the same site where our first Olive Ridley sea turtle patient, Kurangi, was released. Despite challenging conditions, the nest achieved a 66% hatching success — a hopeful reminder of why protection and awareness matter.

All sea turtle nesting research initiatives are carried out by trained personnel with permission from the Environmental Regulation Agency in the Maldives.
