As part of the nationwide field data collection for the 2025 Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) assessment, conducted in collaboration with HPA and UNICEF, a team visited R. Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital, R. Hulhudhuffaaru Health Centre, and R. Kinolhas Health Centre from 18th to 20th September.

The assessment focused on evaluating and strengthening vaccine storage, distribution, and delivery systems — with emphasis on improving cold chain infrastructure, ensuring temperature monitoring compliance, and enhancing the overall accessibility and efficiency of immunization services in the region.

As part of this visit, the team also held a coordination meeting with Heads of Departments at R. Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital and public health workers to discuss current practices, challenges, and strategies for improving immunization service delivery.
