LICENSED GAMING AND LOTTERY OPERATORS IN MALAWI

The Malawi Gaming and Lotteries Authority (MAGLA) is a parastatal body established under section 3 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act (No. 32 of 2022) to regulate the gaming and lotteries industry in Malawi.

MAGLA has observed with concern that some Gaming operators are conducting business in Malawi without obtaining the required licence from MAGLA. In this regard, MAGLA informs the general public, stakeholders and players that the following operators are currently licensed;

📌K20 million Contribution towards the NPL Mothers’ Fun Run

The Malawi Gaming and Lotteries Authority (MAGLA) has contributed K20 million towards the Nation Publications Limited (NPL) Mothers’ Fun Run, scheduled for October 2025

Presenting the cheque, our Director General, Mrs. Racheal Mijiga, praised the Mothers’ Fun Run for its remarkable role in promoting safe motherhood in Malawi, noting that the initiative continues to make a real difference in saving lives.

At MAGLA, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that uplift communities and improve the lives of Malawians. Together, we can build a healthier and stronger nation. 🇲🇼

We have contributed K20 million towards the upcoming Institute of Marketing in Malawi (IMM) Annual Conference, taking place from October 23–26 in Salima under the theme: “Resilience in the Face of Disruption: Be Bold, Be Different, Be Remarkable”

Our support reflects MAGLA’s commitment to promoting tourism and the “Mother Malawi” brand.
