Salima Town Water Supply & Sanitation Project 17 February 2026 💧

Upgrading & Integration of Lakeshore and Town Water Schemes

Work continues on this major project to upgrade and integrate the existing Salima Lakeshore and Salima Town water supply schemes into one efficient and sustainable system. It will improve access to reliable potable water and sanitation services for an estimated 151,160 people in Salima Town and surrounding areas by 2039, with a total investment of €33 million, ensuring consistent clean and safe water supply, reducing waterborne diseases, promoting better hygiene and public health, and supporting overall community development and well-being.
