🪴TIPS FOR MANAGING STRESS AMIDST THE USAID FREEZE SAGA

The U.S. government's recent decision to pause foreign aid for 90 days has already begun to significantly affect several African nations, particularly in vital areas such as health, agriculture, and education.

The freeze on USAID funding is leading to increased stress and has implications for mental health. Different individuals are experiencing diverse repercussions, from the immediate loss of income to disruptions in daily life and heightened feelings of uncertainty about the future. These changes can evoke a wide range of emotions, including anxiety, anger, fear, and depression, ultimately impacting overall mental and emotional well-being.

In response to this situation, Mentor to Mentor, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing psychosocial and mental health support to young people, is acknowledging the potential mental health effects on various stakeholders. To offer assistance during this challenging time, they are organizing a webinar aimed at helping individuals cope with stress and equipping them with effective strategies to manage their mental health.
