"H-CAN Supports Mua RC Primary School's Term 1 Closing Ceremony!

Today, December 20th, 2024, H-CAN had the privilege of attending Mua RC Primary School in Dedza district,Term 1 closing ceremony!

We were thrilled to present gifts to the students who were outstanding in their studies. Students who achieved positions 1 and 2 from Standard 1-8 received learning materials, a cake, and other snacks, while those in position 3 received learning materials and snacks.

We were inspired by the speeches from Mr. Martin Yatina, the Public Relations Officer, and Mr. Theo Musachi, the Director, who motivated the students and appreciated the hard work of the teachers.

At H-CAN, we believe in supporting education and empowering young minds. We are proud to have been a part of this special event and look forward to continuing our support for the sustainable futures.

Congratulations to all the students on their achievements! Keep shining!

H-CAN LAUNCH: A RESOUNDING SUCCESS!

Yesterday, we successfully launched H-CAN at Mua School for the Deaf ground in Dedza! The event was a fun-filled day of sporting and educational activities, promoting our mission of healthy communities. We were entertained by an amazing singing performance by Ernest AKA Nest!

Competitions and Results:

- Spelling Bee: Msekeni RC Primary School vs MUA RC Primary School - Msekeni emerged victorious!
- Quiz Competition: MUA RC Primary School vs Msekeni RC Primary School - Mua emerged victorious!

Women's Football Match:
-Msekeni Primary School Women's team vs Mua RC Primary School Women's team - Mtsekeni won on penalties.
- Mua Sporting Club Women's team vs Kanyera Women FC - Kanyera Women's team won on penalties.
- volleyball Match: Mua Hospital secured a win against the School for the Deaf team!
- Finals Match: Mua Soccer Pirates and Barack FC ended in a thrilling draw, resulting in a shared award!

Empowerment and Skills Development:

Kumbewu, under the Kungoni Centre of Culture and Art, conducted workshops on:

- Mango juice production
- Jam-making
- Food storage without refrigeration
- Women and girls' empowerment

Free Health Services:

Throughout the event, attendees received free health services, including:

- HIV testing
- Diabetes testing
- Blood pressure testing
- Tuberculosis (TB) screening
- Free counseling on health-related issues

Awards:

The awards were presented by our Director, Mr. Theo Musachi.

We're grateful for the overwhelming support and participation. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!

"GRAND OPENING ALERT!

Join us on November 30th, 2024, at Mua School of the Deaf Community Ground, Dedza, as we officially launch H-CAN!

The excitement is building, and the football tournament is heating up! Soccer Pirates have secured their spot in the finals after defeating Madziatsatsi on November 17th. This Sunday, November 24th, Balack FC and Arsenal FC will face off to determine who will challenge Soccer Pirates in the bonanza match on our grand opening day!

But that's not all! Our grand opening will feature:

Youth-friendly services

Blood pressure testing and counseling
