Gorey Partners from Ireland Visit St. John’s Mission Hospital
Strengthening Collaboration and Advancing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Care
On Friday, 17 October 2025, St. John’s Mission Hospital was honoured to host our long-standing partners from Gorey, Ireland, who have been instrumental in supporting the hospital’s Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Program since 2018.
The Gorey team’s visit aimed to appreciate the services being provided under the NCD program, assess progress made, and gain a deeper understanding of both the successes and challenges experienced in implementation. Their continued partnership has been an important factor to the hospital’s progress, contributing through infrastructure development, capacity building, technical assistance, financial support for service delivery, and donation of essential medications.
During the visit, the partners commended the remarkable improvements observed at the hospital since their last visit. They expressed appreciation for the commitment, professionalism, and dedication demonstrated by the hospital management and staff in their efforts to deliver quality health services to the community.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both the Gorey team and St. John’s Hospital management reaffirming their partnership and mutual commitment to advancing healthcare delivery. The Gorey representatives further emphasized their intention to explore additional areas of collaboration to strengthen the impact of the NCD program and support broader health initiatives within the hospital.
St. John’s Mission Hospital expresses its sincere gratitude to the Gorey partners for their unwavering support, solidarity, and shared vision of improving the health and well-being of the people we serve. Together, we continue to build a healthier future for our community.
