How many hours do you spend sitting per day?👀
Many pole and circus enthusiasts work hard on getting their splits flat and yet don't see much progress.
One of the common reasons behind this is that they have a history of sitting for many hours per day.
Sitting places the hips and knees in flexion
The splits place one hip in extension (that corresponds to the back leg), and the knees in extension.Eg. The opposite joint placement that happens while sitting.
The body adapts to hold the positions it does most often.
If you are struggling to flatten out your splits, it might be that you are spending too much time sitting.
The modern life sets us up to sit a lot! Some examples of sitting that many don't consider:

👉Going to the bathroom
👉While driving
