Aho;
"The Sacred Ceremonies do not belong to Indians alone, they can be done by all who have the right attitude and who are honest and sincere about their beliefs in Wakan Tanka (Great Spirit) and follow the rules.
Survival of the World depends on sharing what we have and working together. If we don't the whole world will die, first the Planet and then the People."
{Ceremonial Chief Frank Fools Crow, Teton Lakota, 1890-1989}
Chief Frank Fools Crow sets the standard. Lala Frank said, “ Sacred Ceremonies can be done by all who have the right attitude and who are honest and sincere about their beliefs in Wakan Tanka (Great Spirit) and follow the rules."
Of course, within the Indigenous world of Turtle Island and beyond, you can't participate, learn about, or conduct a ceremony unless you have been invited and have been properly trained to participate in and then after very intense spiritual training, you may, after many years, be given the right to lead a ceremony. The timing depends on someone's dedication and commitment. And is with all, there are exceptions.
At the same time, there are wonderful Sacred Ceremonies of other cultures and spiritual traditions, everywhere on Mother Earth, of all members of our Human that teach love, compassion, integrity, justice, and forgiveness that deserve every bit of our honor, love, and respect, as well!
All living Ceremonies around Mother Earth, include the elements of fire, air, water, earth, and space. As well, many ceremonies of the cultures and spiritual traditions, of our Human Family, use the Circle and the Four Directions.
From my perspective, we are at that promised time in our history, as a Human Family, where we have no choice but to unite in our diversity. We are in the process of fully awaking to the reality that we are One Human Family, intimately connected to all life, and the Hurt of One is the Hurt of All, and the Healing and Restoration of One is the Healing and Restoration.
If we do not participate in or conduct Sacred Ceremonies with the right attitude and without honesty and sincerity about our beliefs in Wakan Tanka (Great Spirit) and do not follow the rules, there are consequences.
This includes, as well, those with whom we share our ceremonies. It is our responsibility If we bring someone to a Ceremony, to ensure they have the right attitude, who are honest and sincere in thier belief in the Great Spirit, and follow the rules.
If we share something, that violates Chief's Frank’s wisdom and spiritual guidance, and someone uses what we have given them and then hurts someone, we are equally responsible for the hurt inflicted upon the person or people.
The bottom line is that each one of us is fully responsible before our Creator, for our words and actions! No one else!
