Honey garlic chicken 🍯🧄🍗

Here’s the easy crockpot recipe below:

2-2.5 lbs chicken breast
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/3 c honey
1/2 c soy sauce
1/2 c ketchup
1/2 tsp oregano
sesame seeds (optional)
green onions for garnish (optional)
side of rice & broccoli (optional)

Preheat crock pot while you prepare ingredients. Mix all ingredients except chicken in a bowl and set aside. Put chicken in your warmed up crock pot. Top with the bowl of mixed ingredients. Mix and cover, cook on high for 2.5-3 hrs. I like to slow cook, so mine is on low for about 4-5 hrs. Chicken needs to reach a temp of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) to be throughly cooked. Remove chicken to shred and then mix it back in. You can also shred with two forks while it’s in the crockpot like I do. Serve with rice and broccoli and your choice of toppings. I added green onions and extra sesame seeds. Enjoy 🤗

Let’s talk about grief, PART TWO.

If you are a part of the therapy world like me, you have probably heard of The Ball and The Box analogy and how it can help someone cope with grief.

I have a lot of friends going through grief and loss this year so let’s talk about the G word. Grief is a natural response to loss yet such a complex topic. What does it mean to you? How do you deal with it?

Grief and loss are among the most universal human experiences, yet they feel intensely personal - almost like no one else could possibly understand your version of it. At its core, grief is the mind and body’s response to the rupture of attachment. When something or someone meaningful is gone, the system that expected their presence doesn’t just “turn off” - it has to slowly recalibrate.

I created these journal prompts a few years ago but I wanted to re post in hopes to help someone else who is dealing with grief and loss. Don’t ask me how many times I had to shoot this to get it just right. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Trying out a new recipe ➡️ kitchen sink cookies. 🍪 They have pretzels, kettle cooked potato chips, caramels, and chocolate chips inside. I’ve also seen them made with brownies inside, so maybe I should try that next? 🤔 Let me know what you think!
