Yoga with Reba International Retreat Leader/Yoga Teacher based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. I stumbled upon yoga around 2002. Read more at rebagray.com

I was living in Boston after returning from the Peace Corps in Mali, an experience that taught me about the real power of community. Seeking ways to process my time abroad, and looking for community, I was fortunate to discover both at the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute. There, I practiced and trained for five years, becoming a hands-on alignment assistant in 2007 and completing my 200-hour teacher training in 2009. I also mentored students in hands-on assistant trainings at the school in 2008 and 2009. I grew up in Maine, but have been obsessed with the California lifestyle from a young age--cue palm trees, Highway 1, beaches. I moved to Oakland, California in 2010 to deepen my practice and diversify my yoga studies (and to escape the east coast winters). I mainly teach alignment-focused vinyasa flow yoga, meditation, and pranayama practices, and recently got back into teaching yin yoga. I also enjoy collaborating with the Love Your Brain Foundation, supporting those with traumatic brain injury (TBI) by sharing yoga and meditation practices. I'm continually participating in advanced trainings and mentorships with many teachers in the Bay Area, and expanding my offerings as my practice evolves.

✨ Imagine this… You start your day with nourishing rooftop yoga in the heart of San Miguel de Allende. After breakfast in our cozy kitchen, you wander the cobblestone streets - chatting with friendly folks in the mercados and lively plazas - before returning for a dip in our heated courtyard pool. The air is warm, your mind is calm, and every detail is taken care of.

See link above, and know that I have done lots of research to find the best tacos, massage therapists, warmest hot springs. Look at the view from our rooftop where we’ll have morning vinyasa & evening restoratives. Dreamy.

The origins of Feria de Candelaria date back centuries linked to the religious celebration when families brought candles and seeds to be blessed and thus have a prosperous year. Today this is a celebration of nature and gardening.

I’ve been in San Miguel about a week now. Phew big change but enjoying language classes, learning how to slow down, and process what I’ve left behind. When I got to the bus station it was so cold. An older woman wrapped a blanket around my shoulders. These little acts of kindness are what I hold onto when things feel challenging.
