Tip for feeling more satiated during clear liquid stage:
After a couple days of water, sports drinks and jello I was feeling empty and weak. The great savior was broth! It's warm, comforting and packs the great combination of fat, salt and protein. You still need the other liquids but do not underestimate the power of broth! And do not be afraid of fat - that was in the past. Fat keeps you satiatied and it's something your body needs in certain amounts. Especially during liquid diets.
Easy Delicious Recipe for Chicken Broth:
In a pot, 2 chicken thighs (bone in, skin ON), 1 onion cut in 4 pieces, 1 tomato cut in 4 pieces, 4 cloves garlic (peeled), 1 Tbsp salt, 4 Liters water. Cover and boil for 1 - 1.5 hours. Remove chicken, give to those more fortunate than us who can eat ;) and use an immersion blender in the broth to completely blend all the pieces of onion, tomato and garlic. Sip and enjoy!
Tip: drink broth from mug instead of using spoon. It decreases the air intake a lot.
