I made it to the semi-finals in a pitch competition....and lost.

So much of building a business is rejection, but no one ever shows it on social media

I wanted to share this with you because I didn’t win the $25,000 an award, but I did get something

🤎 valuable connections
🤎 visibility
🤎 and fuel to keep building.

Rejection isn’t the end of the story; it’s just data. (and motivation for Capricorns like me 🤣)

Raise your hand if you’ve ever heard a clinician say “I don’t work with BPD clients” 🙋🏾‍♀️✋🏽✋🏿

Yeah. We need to talk about that.

The stigma around BPD doesn’t just live in the general public. It’s alive and well in our own field. Clients labeled with BPD are often seen as “difficult,” “manipulative,” or “untreatable” before they even walk in the door.

But what if those symptoms aren’t pathology, they’re survival?

Dr. Eboni Webb is breaking this down in our upcoming CEU: Inherited Wounds: Generational Trauma, Complex PTSD and the Development of Borderline Personality Patterns.

This training reframes BPD through a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive lens and gives you practical tools to work with high-distress clients without burnout, bias, or reinforcing harm.

It’s time for us to do better. Link in bio to register 🔗

You’re client brings up s*x, what are you doing? 👀

Many of us avoid it because of our own discomfort. Or we collude with our clients avoidance.

But that silence carries weight.

For Black women especially, whose s*xuality exists at intersections of historical harm, cultural expectation, and systematic erasure, that silence can become a barrier to healing.

Which is why we are bringing in .donnaoriowo to lead our next CEU on Desire, Dignity, and Deconstruction: Building the Tools to Explore Black Women’s Sexuality on April 17th

goes on to say “You can do deeply meaningful and impactful work AND make money” and WHEW chile this is something I have not mastered yet😅

But I’m quickly learning that if I don’t prioritize the money, the impact will dwindle.

So let’s have a conversation! Where do you think the balance is? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! 💭👇🏽

The way OCD is talked about in mainstream culture is well… inaccurate at best and harmful at worst. We’ve summed it up to being the quirky person who cleans excessively, or the friend who just happens to wash their hands too much.

In reality, it’s a chronic, often debilitating experience that deserves accurate diagnosis and effective, trauma-informed care.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard treatment, is still underutilized in clinical practice! We’re changing that with this CEU training 🤎

If you want practical tools to better care for clients with OCD, this CEU training is for you! Comment “OCD” and I’ll DM you the link to register! 🔗✨

We also do Productive Presence sessions in the Cultivating Healers Community, which are 2 hour body mirroring co-working sessions! Sometimes, you just need a little accountability to do the things you’ve been putting off.
