Open the heart by starting with the hips...
We often think of "opening the heart" as a shoulder or chest stretch, but true openness starts much lower.
If the front of the hips (the hip flexors) is tight, it acts like a tether, pulling the chest down. If the back is clenched, it tucks the tailbone and collapses our posture. To find that "lift" in the heart, we must first find space in the hips.

By finding space at the base, we allow the heart to open and the mind to find the quiet it needs to recover.
