When the gut terrain is strong good bacteria thrive and the bad bacteria will stay in check naturally 🦠

when the terrain is weak it gives bad microbes, parasites or yeast the perfect environment to thrive. Focusing on your internal environment should always be #1 in gut healing

SIBO SERIES PART 5

Important note: always work with a professional when taking antimicrobials. Charcoal needs to be taken away from food, supplements + meds and these tools are only meant to be used during healing phases. The goal is always rebuilding the gut terrain so the imbalance doesn’t come back

Lunar New Year 2026 begins tomorrow ✨🌙💫
Marking our transition into the year of the horse 🐎

The snake taught us release before renewal 🐍 now is a powerful time for honest reflection and discernment— releasing old patterns, worn connections, or any stagnant energy that and no longer aligns. Clearing space so you can step forward lighter, more grounded and ready to build real momentum 🐎✨

Healing didn’t come from doing more — it came from doing the basics better 🚶‍♀️🥩🏞️🌝🌲

• Walking more
• Getting outside
• Eating real food
• Living in alignment with my body instead of fighting it

Daily movement is key. Commit to walking every day, then habit stack it with structural strength training that fits your life and is sustainable long-term.

Your body wasn’t designed for fluorescent lights and screens. Nature is medicine — even in -20° weather 🙈🤣

Most chronic illness starts long before it becomes a diagnosis. You have way more control over your health than you’ve been led to believe.

Supplements can never replace real food 🫶

Sunlight is medicine — when respected 🌞 (and without toxic sunscreen slathered all over your body lol)
Healthy sun exposure supports hormones, mood, and our circadian rhythm. When used properly, it’s one of the most powerful forms of medicine we have 💛

Processed sugars, ultra-processed foods, low-quality dairy, gluten, cold foods and alcohol.

This isn’t forever — but removing these gave my gut space to regulate and repair

Remove these first so you can rebuild your gut properly for long-term health. It also helps reset habits — once ultra-processed foods are out, you realize they were more addictive than satisfying 🤷🏻‍♀️

ultra processed foods are loaded with additives, seed oils and other harmful ingredients that alter the gut microbiome

Gluten today isn’t what it used to be — for many people, it’s a major inflammatory trigger that weakens the gut lining.

Cold foods slow digestion because they literally
cool the digestive system down — and digestion needs warmth to work efficiently

This is why in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Ayurveda, warm foods are emphasized — especially for people with bloating, sluggish digestion, IBS, SIBO, or during healing phases

Think: soups, stews, warm breakfasts, room-temp drinks > ice-cold smoothies and iced water

— Don’t be like me and think it’s OK to eat a whole tub of Ninja Creami ice cream while you’re in your core healing phase 💀😭

When healing the gut—SIBO or candida—the first step is reducing what drives inflammation, so your gut can do its job efficiently.

When you focus on the terrain, digestion + motility can begin to rebuild and you’ll stop moving one step forward and two steps back (been there) 🙋🏻‍♀️

When the nervous system feels supported, the gut can stop prioritizing fight-or-flight and shift back into healing mode 🤍

save this if you’re stuck in gut healing. Part 3 of my SIBO series explains what to reduce first x
