Mael Medina

Mael Medina Cocinero Mexicano He has been involved in event organization, catering and banquets since 2011.

At just 24 years old, he already has several credentials to his name: a 3-year Program in Culinary Arts from Centro Culinario Ambrosia in Mexico City, a Master in Bartending from Haye Flair Bartenders, a Diploma in Chocolate-Making, and a Specialization in Pastry. After participating in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd World Forums of Mexican Gastronomy, Ismael assisted in coordinating the forum’s 4th edition

. His experience extends from cooking for the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Mexico for the 13th Congress of Dominican Culture, to coordinating the kitchens for the star-studded VIP experience “Starlite Mexico”. He served as gastronomic adviser for MasterChef Mexico during its 2nd season, and was Chef Instructor for children in summer courses offered at the Centro Culinario Ambrosia. Ismael is currently the official Gastronomic Adviser of the Mexican Embassy in Canada. For him, the most important aspect of the culinary arts can be summarized in a metaphorical axiom: “Being a chef is like being a painter: you need foods of different shapes and colours, love for an art that draws on all the senses, cultural knowledge to inspire creativity and a boundless curiosity in the world. It is about nourishing the mind and all the senses with the myriad flavours of passion itself”.
