Let there be light🌞
In Latin, solstice is made of two words: sol– meaning “the sun” and sistere meaning “to make a stand.”
The cycle of the Sun represents the cycle of our lives and reflects the natural flow of energy moving inward and outward. There are times to grow, times to pause, times to shed and times to learn. Just as we align with the Moon’s journey every month, we can align with the Sun’s journey throughout the year.
Winter Solstice is the great stillness before the Sun's strength builds, and days grow longer. It can be a time to reflect and rest in the peace of darkness, knowing the changing of the season, and the return of brighter days is ahead.
In another hemisphere, the Summer Solstice reminds us to muster our inner resources and find the courage needed to express the brightest and most authentic version of ourselves.
As we consciously link our awareness to nature's cycles, our understanding of our own personal growth cycles begin to deepen.
