“Fracturas de rodilla” - “Knee fractures”
Las fracturas de tibia proximal son lesiones comunes que afectan cerca de la rodilla. Pueden ser causadas por traumatismos directos, como caídas o accidentes de tráfico, y varían en severidad, desde fracturas simples hasta fracturas complejas y con desplazamiento.
El tratamiento por lo general requiere fijación interna mediante cirugía o, en casos severos, la colocación de prótesis.
En este caso se hizo la fijación con placa y tornillos y para garantizar la integridad de la articulación de la rodilla se realiza la reducción de los fragmentos guiado por artroscopia.
La recuperación requiere rehabilitación para restaurar la función y movilidad.

Proximal tibial fractures are common injuries affecting the area near the knee. They can be caused by direct trauma, such as falls or traffic accidents, and vary in severity from simple fractures to complex and displaced fractures.
Treatment usually requires internal fixation through surgery or, in severe cases, the joint replacement.
In this case, fixation was performed with plates and screws and, to ensure the integrity of the knee joint, arthroscopically guided reduction of the fragments is performed.
Recovery requires rehabilitation to restore function and mobility.
