Brazilian researchers conducted a randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled trial to study the effects of Cantharis 6CH, a homeopathic medicine, on E coli-induced cystitis.

Their findings?
"The inverted balance of inflammatory cells and cytokines in bladder and pelvis mucosa shows specific local immune modulation induced by Cantharis 6cH."

Indian researchers have just published a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of individualized homeopathy for patients testing positive for COVID-19.

Two hundred and sixty-nine participants who tested positive for COVID-19 infection (N Gene, ORF 1-ab-Gene, and the S Gene of the SARS COV-2 virus) were randomized into two parallel groups. A total of 133 participants (49 %) were randomized to the homeopathic group. The remaining 136 (51 %) patients in the control group received a placebo intervention in addition to standard care of modern medicine.

The results:
"Of the 269 participants, 133 (49 %) were in the homoeopathic group and 136 (51 %) were in the control group. There were no significant differences in the demographic characteristics, comorbidities, or allopathic treatment administered within the groups at baseline. The median scores for shortness of breath, cough, weakness, and fatigue significantly reduced on days five and ten. There were no significant differences in the median values of inflammatory markers. The ICU requirement (p = 0.01), ventilator requirement (p = 0.01), and mortality (p = 0.003) were significantly lower in the homoeopathic group."

Conclusion
"Homoeopathy as an adjuvant to standard care in the management of COVID-19 resulted in lowering of clinical symptoms, and a significantly lower ICU requirement, requirement of ventilation, and mortality rate compared to standard care alone."

Mortality in patients with severe sepsis remains high despite the development of several therapeutic strategies. The aim of a recent randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was to evaluate whether homeopathy is able to influence long-term outcomes in critically ill patients suffering from severe sepsis.

Their findings:
"On day 180, survival was statistically significantly higher with verum homeopathy (75.8% vs 50.0%, P=0.043). No adverse effects were observed... Our data suggest that homeopathic treatment may be a useful additional therapeutic measure with a long-term benefit for severely septic patients admitted to the intensive care unit."

4. Mantenerse sano, tomar agua, comer frutas y verduras, salir al sol. Procurar estar tranquilo.

¿Qué hacer si me siento mal?
Ir con el médico. Hidratarse bien.

In a recent French study, researchers looked at the management of anxiety and depressive disorders (ADD) in patients 65 years of age and older by homeopathic general practitioners versus conventional general practitioners.

One hundred and ten patients were recruited, and 87 (79.1%) with ADD (HADS ≥ 9) were evaluated during the 72-hour interview (age range: 65-93 years, 82.8% female). Patients who consulted a GP-Homeopath (GP-Ho) were more likely (odds ratio [OR] = 10.38, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.33-81.07) to have clinical improvement (HADS < 9) after 12 months than those in the GP-Conventional Medicine (GP-CM) group. Patients who consulted a GP-Ho reported less psychotropic drug use (OR = 22.31 [95% CI: 2.20-226.31]) and benzodiazepine use (OR = 60.63 [95% CI: 5.75-639.5]) than GP-CM patients.

Press Release — NEWPORT BEACH, CA.: Physicians & Scientists Reveal: School-Mandated Vaccines Lack Proof of Safety Over Targeted Diseases

New document compares vaccine risks to 10 disease risks

Physicians for Informed Consent (PIC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, has introduced a new comprehensive educational document to assist physicians, policymakers and the public in comparing the known risks of 10 diseases, in normal-risk children who have not been vaccinated, to the uncertain risks of their vaccines.

The disease risks included are for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (chicken pox).

Emergency Medicine and Homeopathy.

Menachem Oberbaum and his colleagues at the Center of Integrated Complementary Medicine Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Israel looked at homeopathic treatment in emergency medicine. Their work was published in the journal Homeopathy.

"Fifteen orthopedic patients were included. They were treated by homeopathy in two phases starting 24 h post-trauma. All patients initially received Arnica montana 200CH in a single dose. Anxiety was treated with Aconite 200CH in nine patients, O***m 200CH in three, Ignatia 200CH in two and Arsenicum album 200CH in one according to the type of anxiety.

One day later, most patients reported a lessening of pain, 58% felt improvement, 89% had reduced anxiety, and overall, 61% felt that homeopathic treatment was helpful.

In the second phase, 48 h post-trauma, specific complaints were addressed with classical homeopathy. At discharge patients rated the homeopathic treatment successful in 67% of the specific complaints."
