¡Nuevo sci-fact de la semana!

Hola, aquí hay un poco de contexto para aquellos que quieren saber más sobre este animal:

El artrópodo que podemos ver en el Ciencia hecho de esta semana es un "Demotex Folliculorum" el cual es un animal microscópico que vive dentro de los poros de la cara de los seres humanos y come del sebo secretado por las glándulas sebáceas dentro de cada uno de folículos pilosos de tu cara. A pesar de que viven dentro de los poros, estos animales tienen que ir a la superficie de la piel para aparearse, tras lo que vuelven adentro de los folículos pilosos para poner huevos.

Y si quieres saber de donde han venido y como llegaron a tu cara, probablemente un familiar froto su rostro contra el tuyo cuando eras un bebe y simplemente saltaron hacia ti.

Hi here is a bit of context to those who want to know more about this animal.

The arthropod that is seen in the science fact of this week is a “Demotex Folliculorum” which is a microscopic animal that lives inside the pores of the face of the human beings and eats of the sebum secreted by the sebaceous glands inside of every of our hair follicles. Although they live inside the pores, they have to go to the skin surface to mate, after that they come back to the pores and lay eggs.

And if you want to know when they reached your skin, probably a familiar rubbed her/his face on your face and they simply jumped onto you.

Hi everyone! Learn more about the role water plays in our planet through this week's science fact:
Water plays a key role in creating what we know as "weather patterns"; through ocean currents, the temperature stored from solar radiation distributes, regulating the temperature of our planet.
Without the process of evaporation and ocean currents, much of the Earth's area would be under extreme temperatures and thus would be uninhabitable.

Hi! did you know that chocolate´s secret ingredient are fermented microbes? 🧐 Here is more information about this fact👇

Fermentation is the process of improving the qualities of a food through the controlled activity of microbes, and it allows the bitter, otherwise tasteless cacao seeds to develop the rich flavors associated with chocolate.

The first fermentation step involves yeasts, that produces alcohol by digesting the sugary pulp that clings to the beans. This process generates fruity-tasting molecules called esters and floral-tasting fusel alcohols.

As the pulp breaks down, oxygen enters the fermenting mass and the yeast population declines as oxygen-loving bacteria take over. These bacteria are known as acetic acid bacteria. The acid soaks into the beans, causing biochemical changes. The sprouting plant dies. Fats agglomerate. Some enzymes break proteins down into smaller peptides, which become very “chocolatey”-smelling.

Finally, as acid slowly evaporates and sugars are used up, other species—including filamentous fungi and spore-forming Bacillus bacteria – take over.
