Endo has been and CAN be found throughout the entire body. And it's always interesting when we hear about the less common places patients find it - like the belly button! 😲
The most common place to find endo is, of course, the abdominopelvic cavity ➡️ When people discuss ‘extrapelvic’ endometriosis, most often, they are referring to thoracic endometriosis, which can include the lungs and diaphragm. Though ‘extrapelvic’ can mean anywhere outside of the pelvic cavity.
