Wow! What an outcome and what a review! I am thrilled.
Review:
I went to bed one night and woke up unable to move my left arm. The next night, trying to protect the left side, I slept more heavily on my right side and woke up with both arms in pain at a level 9 out of 10.
I finally went for an ultrasound in Playa del Carmen. The doctors stopped counting after finding more than five tears between both shoulders, arms, and scapular area. Seven weeks of physical therapy followed, three sessions a week and while I appreciated the effort, I experienced very little true relief.
Then I made an appointment with Emily.
The session was brutal in the way real therapeutic body work often is. Not relaxing. Not spa-like. Not the kind of treatment where you simply lay on a table and listen to music while someone rubs lotion on your back. This was precise, knowledgeable, intentional work on injury, tension patterns, inflammation, compensation, and dysfunction throughout the body.
And for the first time since the injury, I walked out feeling genuine relief. Not temporary comfort. Relief.
In one session with Emily, I felt more improvement than I had after seven weeks of conventional therapy. I have not returned to that same level of pain since seeing her, and I immediately booked my second appointment.
There is a massive difference between massage and body work. Massage can feel good for an hour. Real body therapy changes how your body functions. It addresses the root patterns, the guarding, the restrictions, the injuries your body has been compensating around for months or years.
If you are an athlete, chronically stressed, physically overworked, injured, healing, or simply living in pain, do not mistake this for a standard massage appointment. This is therapeutic body reworking by someone who deeply understands the body.
Emily is doing restoration work. And frankly, after what I experienced, I cannot recommend her highly enough.
