Even children benefit from chiropractic! There's a few ways to check the psoas muscle but it is so very important!!! Feel free to ask me about it anytime. I do a lot of psoas muscle relaxing. It goes from the leg up to the diaphragm and send fibers I to the lumbar discs, making it very important with disc problems.
The psoas plays a critical role in pelvic balance and overall spinal stability—especially in growing children.
Here’s a simple assessment:
1️⃣ With the child supine, gently traction their arms overhead at the wrists.
2️⃣ Bring palms together and compare fingertip length.
3️⃣ The shorter side indicates a contracted psoas.
Correcting this imbalance helps restore pelvic stability and balance the diaphragmatic transverse fascial plane—laying the foundation for improved posture, movement, and neurological integration.
