This procedure is very quick, takes approximately 45 minutes, and it’s considered an outpatient procedure. Pain is a 1/10, and office type emplees are able to return back to work the next day.

*Patient shown only three weeks postop, the incisions will continue to heal for a few months. With time that scar will practically disappear 🙌

Belly button hernia?

An umbilical (belly button) hernia can often be repaired during a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). In fact, many plastic surgeons coordinate both procedures in one surgery. Here’s how it’s typically approached:

🔸How it works
• Hernia repair: The surgeon reduces the hernia (pushes the protruding tissue back in) and reinforces the abdominal wall, sometimes using sutures or mesh (mesh is less common if the hernia is small).
• Tummy tuck: After the hernia is repaired, the abdominal muscles are tightened, and excess skin/fat is removed, which can further strengthen the area and improve the appearance.
