I have a student who has horrendous cramps due to endometriosis and PCOD. The focus of her sessions is on the poses to help her during, after, and before her period.
Yes, yoga can help with this if done in the proper sequence and way. As a matter of fact, I believe it's one of the most important things I personally learned that helped me through my own cycle and menopause. I can't imagine a woman not knowing these incredible poses and their healing power.
But I always know that each person might not have the same experience, so when at the end of the session she reported that the pain had greatly subsided, I was happy for her because being in pain sucks. Again, it reminded me of the healing power of yoga.
